Number One Friend

Nicole and I officially became friends in grade 9, although we new eachother before, she was from Maple, and I was from Ocean Grove. The 2 didn't really branch off until grade 9.
We had French class together, with Mr. Croft. Its a good thing we were together too, because he was the worst teacher ever. Probably why I didn't learn a thing in that class, and by grade 10 I had dropped French.
We hung out everyday at school, and pretty much every weekend. Our weekends although then, we thought sucked, were now that I think about it, quite hilarious. We'd pretty much sit around playing monopoly, wishing we were going to be cool enough to get invited to a party the following weekend. Of course this never happened, but we were happy with purchasing property, and robbing the bank when others weren't looking. (I was watching you)
Then we turned 16, oh to be 16 for one more weekend. By this time, we new Jenni, and Nicole was the first out of us to get her license. At this point we thought for sure we'd be going to parties, not likely. We drove by the parties, slowly, hoping someone we knew would come out, but they didn't. Instead we would play what we liked to call "The Honking Game" All you need is your parents Dodge Colt and three willing honkers. The object is to laugh as hard as you possibly can, while pulling up to a house with a huge living room window (essential) and honking. As soon as someone comes to the window, you squeal outta there. Wait about 5-10 minutes, and creep up slowly to the same house. We would do this about 4 times, until we sensed the home owner was getting annoyed, I think the phone at their ear while they were fingering us gave it away. Then we moved on to 7-11 where we would pile high a cardboard bowl with the classic sev nachoes, Pepsi slurpees, and some quiet time behind the store. (We couldn't let the after party munchers know we had been there almost all night)
unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and when we were 17 I had to move away from "The Riv". Nicole and I are still number one friends, although we don't see much of eachother these days, we try to make time to get together, even if its just a half hour lunch break for one, and "my eyes are barley open" for the other.

I love you

Okay, evryone on Crawford Road said our house was bad to be around (all the parents and the teachers that is) How could it have been so damn bad if all these great kids came out of it??? I love you all and I hope you all remember as long as I have a breath of air in my body I will always have a hug, an ear to listen or any other damn thing you need

I know you do Lisa aka "mommy" and it is an extremely comforting feeling. No matter where you live your home will always feel comfortable for me and I think everyone else was just jealous that the kids liked hanging out at your place ;) Love you all, Nicole
